The Wayfarers is a newly founded Rover crew based in Lakeside Heights, Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada. It is now entering its second year with new projects and unfortunately a few members less, since some chose to pursue their education in remote locations such as Ontario or even New Brunswick! Pointe Claire is located on the island of Montreal, and members of the crew come from all over the area of greater Montreal. There are now seven members in the crew, all 18 or 19 years old. Members of the crew began meeting in May of 1997, and have since undertaken many activities. These activities have ranged from community service projects, to seeing movies, to camping.

One of the underlying themes in rovers is service. For that reason we like to participate in many community service projects. Apart from having a great time doing them, we think they're a good way to make ourselves useful.

As well as community service, our main purpose as a Rover crew is to enjoy the outdoors. We feel that it's important for everyone to get outside, breathe some fresh air, and spend time away from suburban life. Throughout the year we undertake a variety of activities to do just that. These activities include camping, hiking, canoeing, rockclimbing, volunteering and many more. All of us try to get out as much as possible, but as a crew we're able to raise funds and organize trips that wouldn't have been possible on our own.

Visit our logbook to read about all the activities we've undertaken.
